When exposed to very hot temperatures you may suffer first from heat exhaustion, which manifests itself as one or several of the following :

  • rectal temperature 39 °C
  • dizziness or vertigo, fatigue or weakness,
  • a headache,
  • rapid pulse,
  • rapid breathing,
  • muscle cramps or heat cramps
  • “heat sensations” on the head or neck
  • chills
  • goose bumps
